Designed by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand in 1928 for Cassina, are emblematic pieces of modern furniture design.

It is the result of the collaboration of three very important designers of the 20th century: Le Corbusier, one of the most influential architects of modernism, Pierre Jeanneret, a Swiss architect and designer, and Charlotte Perriand, an innovative designer strongly influenced by functionalism.

The LC2 was part of the “International Style” movement and represented the ideals of modern life and design. It was celebrated as an expression of functionality, simplicity and rationality.

It had an enormous influence on 20th century furniture design and inspired numerous designers and furniture manufacturers worldwide. Its iconic design was often imitated, but never fully achieved.
